    Sunday Games Afternoon in Formby - Board Games & Brews

    Every 3rd Sunday of the month at Our Ladyof Compassion Parish Centre Formby

    Looking for a cosier, friendlier way to spend a Sunday afternoon? We've got you covered.

    Our Lady of Compassion Formby host a monthly traditional games afternoon, and everyone's invited!

    We'll bring the classics as well as an assortment of others - or feel free to bring your own.

    No experience needed, no pressure , just a warm, welcoming space where all ages can sit down,

    have a laugh and make some new friends as the afternoons get darker.

    📅 Next Event: Sunday 25th October. 2:00pm – 5:00pm (then every 3rd Sunday of the month)
    📍 Where: Our Lady of Compassion Parish Centre, Church Road, Formby
    ☕ Refreshments: Tea, coffee, juice, teacakes & crumpets available
    🎟️ Entry: Just £1 per person (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)

    So pull up a chair, grab a brew and a teacake, and let's get the games out.

    Learn how to craft a beautiful, personalised wreath to welcome guests to your home this season. Everything you need is provided, from the wreath frame to fresh greenery and a selection of decorative accents. Just bring your creative spirit!

    Put on your dancing shoes for a traditional Ceilidh on November 7th at 7:00 pm at Holy Trinity Church Hall! Featuring high-energy live music from Shave the Donkey, hot food included with your ticket, and a licensed bar.

    Tickets are £20 (under 16s £10), with all funds raised going directly to support Queenscourt Hospice during a critical time. Come out for a fantastic night and support a vital local service.

    Join the Charity Music Night at The Grapes pub in Formby on Friday 4th December to support Anthony Nolan and #STEMCELLSCOUSERS.

    The event features family-friendly face painting sponsored by McDonald's starting at 4:30pm, followed by live performance sets from popular local ukulele ensemble Formby Uke3 from 7:00pm.

    Event highlights include a charity raffle (£5 for 2 strips) with top prizes including an official signed Ryan Gravenberch Liverpool FC shirt with a certificate of authenticity, a luxury Christmas hamper, a free MOT voucher, and £100 Specsavers vouchers.
