Previously it was a underutilized attic above Woodwards Wine Bar, but Formby Heritage Centre's transformation was made possible through the generous support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Formby Parish Council, and local wards.

After 18 months of hard work, Formby Heritage Centre was launched October 2023 and offers visitors a chance to delve into the town's fascinating past. The Centre is open every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, welcoming history buffs who consistently praise the engaging exhibits and inviting atmosphere. The Centre caters to both individual visitors and pre-arranged group tours for organizations such as U3A, Scouts, and Cubs, providing a unique educational experience.
